Alarm Systems consist of intrusion detection devices installed as a preventative measure to protect your valuables, and offer personal security for yourself and others on the premises.
Active Home Technology will design and install a security system appropriate for your budget, requirements and building.
Below is a list and brief description of alarm devices that we supply and install.
Keypads are most commonly used to arm and disarm your alarm system.
Active Home Technology can install standard button keypads or touchscreen keypads.
An example of a touchscreen is the Honeywell Tuxedo Touch, shown below.
Keyfobs are small remotes that you can hang off your keyring, available with either two or four buttons.
Two button remotes are normally used to arm & disarm your alarm system.
Whereas, four button remotes have additonal buttons which in most cases are programed to arm a Stay Mode and another to activate a Panic alarm.
Panic buttons are typically found in four forms; on your keypad, as a seperate button on a wall in your house (e.g beside your bed), on a keyfob, and/or as a pendant that is worn around your neck or on your wrist as a watch.
Hold Up Alarms
Hold up alarms are most commonly found in high risk premises and require back to base monitoring. They are a dual action switch or button, which when activated, send a silent alarm back to the monitoring centre who then notify the police.
Remote Arming and Disarming
AHT is able to provide remote arming & disarming for most alarm systems.
We use a 3G or 4G dialler in conjunction with your back to base monitoring, and the Pocket Secure App to provide this function.
Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR)
PIRs are more commonly known as motion detectors. PIRs are commonly mounted on the ceiling, in a corner or on a wall.
Active Home Technology can install either hardwired or wireless (battery powered) PIRs for your alarm system. We strive to position all PIRs in strategic locations to minimise false alarms.
Reed switches are devices comprising of a switch and a magnet. They are most commonly used on doors and window but can also be installed on garage doors & gates.
Active Home Technology can install either hardwired or wireless (battery powered) reed switches for your alarm sytem.
Active Home Technology can supply and install Photoelectric Smoke alarms that are linked in with your alarm system. When these smoke alarms are activated, not only does the smoke detector alarm, it also triggers your house alarm system. If you also have Back to Base Monitoring, the monitoring centre are also notified; where applicable they will notify the emergency services.
Active Home Technology can install either hardwired or wireless (battery powered) smoke alarms for your alarm system.
